About

Kristine's interest in art began at a very young age. And while it always remained a part of her life, it wasn't until 2019 when she discovered alcohol inks, that she really felt the pull to create on a regular basis.

As an intuitive, abstract painter, Kristine use unique color palettes and varied surface textures to visually engage the audience.  She loves to explore the range of possibilities created through subtle changes in colour choice, composition, method of application, surface preparation, and more. Kristine finds herself drawn to nature for inspiration: the movement of a wave, the colors of a sunset over the prairies, or the shape of a feather.  By painting with no expectations and focusing on the process, rather than the outcome, it allows the painting to evolve based on what simply feels right. Where each layer of paint, brush mark, and even accident, guides her through the process. Ultimately, Kristine's goal is simply to create and share her interpretation of beauty with the world.

Kristine currently paints in her studio on a farm just outside of Melfort Saskatchewan.
